Islamabad- Intelligence agencies have declared seven places sensitive and a soft target for terrorist attack in the Diplomatic Enclave.

Security has been tightened by deploying a large number of rangers and police personnel to avoid any unfortunate incidence. At least 3,700 police personnel and 300 rangers and Frontier Constabulary (FC) men are at high alert in the Red Zone.

The forests, surrounding the Diplomatic Enclave, including Quaid-e-Azam University, Rawal Dam and Noorpur Shah and some other areas in a report received by Interior Ministry have been declared unsafe as the terrorist attacks could be expected from such areas, according to sources.

The security of the sensitive places is under surveillance of SSP rank officers. Six SP rank officers are also a part of team who have especially been directed to maintain the security of Parliament, Prime Minister House and Supreme Court buildings.

Forces are on special alert at Margalla Hills to monitor the security measure of the Diplomatic Enclave. Moreover, a new and specially trained group of police has also been deployed in the Capital for rapid response.
