Seven persons including three women and minor girl were killed in different mishaps occurred over the past 24 hours.

According to details, in Jhang, a youth and his sister were killed in a mishap that took place on Jhang-Khushab Road near Tiba Peeranwala.

As per details, 18-year-old Khuram Khan, his 17-year-old sister Shabana and his brother-in-law Sharif, resident of Dallanwala Morr were going to Kot Shaker on a bike. As they reached near Tiba Peeranwala, a speeding passenger van suddenly hit their motorcycle. Resultantly, Khuram died on the spot while his sister and her husband sustained critical wounds and were admitted to DHQ Hospital where Shabana also succumbed to her injuries while her husband Sharif is said to be in critical condition.

In another incident which happened in Atharan Hazari, an 11-year-old gilr was killed by a gunshot.  Ten-year-old Asmat Ullah, son of Allah Bakhsh along with his 11-year-old sister Fatima, residents of Wasoo Astana situated in the remit of 18-Hazari Police went to their aunt’s house to watch TV. There Asmat Ullah took the loaded gun of his uncle which went off accidently, killing his sister Fatima on the spot.

In another road mishap which occurred on Jhang-Chiniot Road a 25-year-old young man was crushed to death. According to available reports, one Muhammad Asif was on the way on his bike when near Solling Stop, a speeding car coming from the opposite direction hit him. Resultantly he sustained serious injuries and breathed his last before shifting to hospital. The car driver managed to escape from the scene. The Bhuwana Police started investigation.

Meanwhile, a woman was killed by snake bite. Reportedly, wife of Noor Muhammad Janjowa, a resident of 18-Ghagh of Shorkot was cutting fodder in field when suddenly a poisonous snake bite her due to which she breathed her last instantly.

In Ahmedpur East, the Saddr Police recovered two dead bodies of a young woman and five-year-old girl from Ahmedpu East canal branch. A spokesman for the district police also released photos of both woman and girl and asked the people to inform the Saddr Police on telephone number 0629255256 about their identification. Further investigation is in progress.
