A 45 year old factory owner was found dead in his unit in Khalid Park Shafiqabad on Sunday.

The deceased identified as Mohammad Asif hailed from Baddomalhi.

The police said that the locals noticed stench emitting from the factory and informed the police.

The police recovered the decomposed body of Asif with injured skull. Police suspected that unidentified persons came to the factory and badly injured his skull, resulting into his death. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against unidentified persons on the complaint of the deceased’s brother Javed Iqbal.

Suicide: A 35 year old man committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in Kahna area on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Walaiyat Masih of Busti Esaeyan. Police said that Walaiyat Masih, who was living in the house of in-laws, was suffering from depression due to unknown domestic issues. On the day of the incident, he locked himself in a room and ended his life by hanging himself with a rope. Police handed over the body to the family after the completion of legal formalities.

Accident: A bike rider was killed by a speeding tractor trolley in Manga Mandi area on Sunday.

Locals caught the driver and handed over him to the police. It was reported that Ilyas was on his way on a bike when a recklessly driven tractor trolley being driven by Fiaz ran over him, as a result of which he received serious injuries. The injured Ilyas was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Fire: Household items worth thousands of rupees were gutted to ashes when fire broke out in a house in Baghbanpura on Sunday.

Cause of fire in the house of Mahmood was said to be short circuit.

Meanwhile, fire broke out in bushes near Falcon Complex Gulberg. Rescue 1122 six vehicles and fire rescuers rushed to the scene and extinguished fire. Yet in another incident, plastic material was caught by fire at Bata Factory Gate-2. Three vehicles of Rescue 1122 and firefighters reached the spot and put out the fire after hectic efforts.
