PML-N Senior Vice President Engineer Amir Muqam is likely to be appointed as the next Governor of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa or special adviser to prime minister, sources disclosed.

In this connection, the PML N leadership has given some options to Amir Muqam and the decision is up to him. The news regarding the proposal has spread like a fire in the jungle in the province. When asked, Amir Muqam said that he had no thirst to get any political slot but if the leadership gives him some responsibility, he will accept it.

Muqam said that his party was in the position to form a government in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa province but the PML N leadership honoured the mandate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Addressing the party workers and supporters at Puran House Sangota, he said that his party would see how the PTI fulfills its promises made with the KPK masses who voted the PTI candidates to the national and provincial assemblies through elections. “We have already set up a modern division,” he said.

He said that the people had reposed their trust in the PTI and pledged to serve the them remaining out of the parliament, and urged the party workers not be disappointed as victory and defeat are part of politics. Muqam further added that the PML N would form government in the centre and Nawaz Sharif would eliminate corruption carried out by the last government in the government departments.

“Our government and leadership will focus on strengthening the national economy, health and education sectors and ending loadshedding which is top priority of my party and more development projects will be established soon. We have won a few national and provincial assembly seats from Malakand Division. I myself got 59,000 votes for which I am thankful to my supporters,” said Muqam.

He said that Chakdara to Kalam road project will be inaugurated soon and the PML-N government would make an all-out effort to help the masses. On the occasion, newly elect MNA Dr Ebadullah, MPAs Qamoos Khan and Rashad Khan were also present.
