SADIQABAD  - The PML-N’s newly elected members of the National Assembly and Punjab Assembly from Rahim Yar Khan district attended a luncheon organised in their honour by the Anjuman Kashtkaran Punjab President M Yaseen.

Addressing the participants, MNAs Arshad Leghari, Mian Imtiaz Ahmad, MPAs Muhammad Shafiq and Mehmoodul Hassan said that their party would utilise all the resources to resolve the people’s grievances under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

They pledged to pay back the public by serving them for their trust in the PML-N in the shape of their votes and support in the general elections especially in Rahim Yar Khan district. The people across the district through their votes had ousted the PPP from the area, they said and added that the “arrogance” of Governor Makhdoom Ahmad had turned to dust due to the PML-N’s landslide victory. They pledged that water supply will be ensured up to Tail area and in this regard all the PML-N members would meet with party leadership Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif.

They said, “The local people have proved that the public is wise by defeating the PPP candidate in the district and bringing about change in the area. The PML-N is united like a rock.” He claimed that the differences between the PML-N groups in Rahim Yar Khan and Sadiqabad had been patched up which led to the party’s victories in the tehsils. All the lawmakers’ doors are open for the public round the clock, they said. “The PPP destroyed all the national institutions in the last five year tenure. Now, the PML-N leadership will rehabilitate all the collapsed institutions and put the country on the path to development and prosperity.

On the occasion, M Yaseen and former tehsil nazim Basheer Ahmad said that the local people had proved that the district was the stronghold of the PML-N. The newly elected public representatives are likely to serve the people by utilising all the available resources, they hoped.

Addressing the participants, Azhar Leghari said that serving the public selflessly and indiscriminately was his party’s mission.
