ISLAMABAD - Rising Sun beat Army Services (ASC) 7½-4 to win the President of Pakistan Polo Trophy here at Rawalpindi Polo Club on Sunday. In the first chukker, Samiullah scored two goals for ASC while in the second chukker, Ahmed Nawaz smashed two goals for Rising Sun to level the match 2-2. The third chukker saw both the teams scoring one goal each finishing it 3-3. In the fourth and decisive chukker, Rising Sun outclassed ASC as Col Zulfiqar Baig, Major Haseeb Minhas and Ahmed Ali hit one goal each to steer their team to 7½-4 win. Earlier in the third place match, Security 2000 beat PAF by 2-1 to grab the third position. Ex-Army chief Gen (retd) Abdul Waheed Kakar was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony and gave away prizes to the winners. –Staff Reporter
