Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Arif Nizami has said that a stable democracy and democratic institutions are vital for economic growth and peace in the country.

He said the country was facing challenges like economic instability, terrorism and energy crisis and the new Pakistan Muslim League-N government would have to tackle them through a strong political will. PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, being a matured politician, would make Pakistan a peaceful and stable country, he added.

Talking to a private television channel, Arif Nizami said that the democratic institutions were now strong and the continuity of the democratic system would make them stronger, which would help the country face the challenges. He said the new government should make a joint strategy by evolving consensus among all the stakeholders against terrorism. The minister said that all the institutions should remain within their constitutional domains.
