LAHORE (OUR STAFF REPORTER)

Former Wapda Finance Director Ijaz A Babar has said that neither he ever became a state witness before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in rental power projects (RPPs) case nor he handed over any sensitive documents to NAB in this case. Accompanied by his lawyer Raja Abdul Rehman, he told a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Sunday that he and his family had to suffer a lot after a section of press and electronic media carried false reports in this regard.

His counsel said that since the RPPs case, involving former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Finance Minister Shoukat Tareen and federal secretaries, was being heard by the Supreme Court so any comment on it would tantamount to interference in the judicial process.
