SAHIWAL - Former federal parliamentary secretary Mian Anwarul Haq Ramay has said that anti-masses policies of the federal government have jolted the whole economy of the country. Talking to the newsmen, he said that during the last 3-year-regime of the PPP, prices of fertiliser and seeds had been increased exorbitantly. Anwar Ramay said that rate of fertiliser in the year 2008 was Rs800 per bag which was being sold for Rs1,800 per bag, while DAP rate was Rs1,800 which had reached Rs4,150 per bag. He said that prices of seeds of all kind had been increased by 50 per cent while prices of tractors and agri equipment had been increased excessively. He said that no one was ready to purchase the paddy and cotton. Ramay further said that during the tenure of this regime railways, PIA, steel mill and Wapda had collapsed completely. Haj scandal was also gift of this government, he added. He stated that all was because of negligence and in competency of PPP and PML-Q government. Cop dies in accident OUR STAFF REPORTER DEPALPUR - A police constable dies in a road accident here Wednesday. Nazir Ahmad, the resident of Mundi Ahmadabad, while coming back on his motorcycle from Basirpur to Haveli lakha, the suburb area of Depalpur, ran into a motorcycle rickshaw and died on the spot while rickshaw driver and passengers sustained severe injuries. Nazir was a police constable in Lahore.
