OUR STAFF REPORTER KA RACHI - Baqar Kamani won the Karachi Club Snooker Championship defeating Sajid Vali by four frames to two in the final here the other day at organisers own club. Baqar won the 56-76, 68-31, 80-31, 39- 67, 65-31, 59-24 to clinch Rs 8,000 as winner's purse while Sajid Ali received Rs 6,000. In the semi-final, Baqar had beaten Asad H Kamani (4-1) 25-56,52-35,65-53,82-41,73-51 and Sajid Vali accounted for Salman Merchant (4-1) 9-50, 84-52, 73-52, 69-33, 12-57, and 71-71. The losing semi-finalists received Rs 2,500 each while the losing quarter-finalists got Rs 1000 each. Ali Aqeel Suria got Rs 1,000 for his highest 54 points break. Member Managing Committee, Karachi Club Harish Kumar Perwani, who was the guest of honour at the finals, distributed prizes among the winners.
