OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Governor Latif Khosa has said that Law and Order situation in Punjab is worsening day by day and Punjab Government has failed to deliver on this count. While talking to executive body members of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry who called on him at Governor House on Wednesday, led by its President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, the governor said that businessmen were being abducted and the recent murder of a Faisalabad-based businessman, Javed Aziz in broad day light put a question mark on Shahbaz Sharifs good governance. Khosa said Punjab produced only five percent natural gas whereas its demand stood at 63 per cent. He said that after passage of 18th amendment, the province of origin of any natural resource will fulfill its requirement first and then the surplus quantity would be utilized by rest of the provinces. He said previous PPP Government during Benazir Bhuttos era had enhanced the power generation to 19500 Megawatt and her vision was to take it to 40,000MW but hurdles were created to block the foreign investment. Governor alleged Rs 45 billion were embezzled in Sasti Roti Scheme, saying that Sharif brothers had turned politics into a business.
