LOWER DIR Prominent religious clerics and leaders of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl) announced that clerics and students of seminaries in Dir Lower would ensure success of the anti-polio drive that will be started on October 22. Addressing a news conference at Timergara Press Club organised by the National Research and Development Foundation (NRDF), former district chief of the JUI-F Maulana Qazi Abdul Salam and Maulana Zahid Khan said that according to a religious verdict of prominent Islamic scholars there was nothing harmful, immoral and illegal in polio vaccines. They said people in the recent past were convinced by negative propaganda against it but now they could not be deceived by some vested interest group.
