LAHORE Like other parts of the country, the City remained in the grip of muggy weather on Friday with experts predicting the prevailing conditions to persist during the next couple of days.  Lack of rains, winds and abundance of sunshine caused considerable increase in the mercury level with high humidity making the weather oppressive, causing Lahorites to sweat profusely throughout the day.  Maximum and minimum temperature in Lahore was recorded 36 degree Celsius and 26 C respectively. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 54 percent.  According to the experts, shallow trough of westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to move east-northeastward during next 24-36 hours.–Staff Reporter

Seasonal low lies over Baluchistan and adjoining areas.

Local meteorological department has forecast mainly hot and humid weather for most parts of the country including Lahore during the next couple of days. However, partly cloudy weather conditions with rain-thunderstorm expected at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
