WASHINGHTON - A day after an attack on the Pakistan Air Force camp in Peshawar which killed at least 29, the United States condemned the attack and termed it a ‘reprehensible act’.

Offering condolences to the government and people of Pakistan, United Nations also condemned the attack for which Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Khorasani group claimed responsibility.

During a daily briefing in Washington, the US State Department spokesperson Mark Toner stated, "It's an ongoing struggle for Pakistani people," adding that he did not think it indicated a rise in those kind of activities in Pakistan.

"No country has suffered most at the hands of terrorists and extremists than Pakistan. Sadly, today's attack is horrible, reprehensible, but it is not new." He further added that US supports Pakistan’s continued struggle against such extremist forces.
