LAHORE - Punjab Assembly opposition leader Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed warned the provincial government of serious consequences if it tried to stop the PTI’ protest rally against price-hike.

Mehmood, who is also a senior PTI leader, made this warning while addressing a party meeting on Friday held in connection with reviewing the arrangements related to the protest rally to be launched from Nasir Bagh tomorrow (Sunday).

He claimed that the provincial government is making plans to stop the PTI’s million march against the price-hike. He added that his party would give a tough reply to the ruling party if the later tried to stop the protest rally.

Meanwhile, PTI provincial leader, Ejaz Chaudhry said that the ruling party would be responsible for any untoward incident took place as the federal government has withdrawn security of country’s most popular leader Imran Khan. He said that the PTI would not succumb to the hurdles created by the rulers, and take out its protest rally against the price hike.
