VU offering best courses

LAHORE (PR): A meeting of student’s society formation was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr Naveed A Malik, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan. The meeting discussed various concerns pertaining to the extracurricular activities among students.

He urged all faculty members to plan extracurricular events in a manner that all students may participate equally.

Edu key to opportunities

ISLAMABAD (PR): Plan International Pakistan celebrated the efforts of girl participants of the Fast Track Secondary Education (FTSE) project (2011- 2013).

Workers flay killings

LAHORE (PR): The workers of Wapda have condemned the killings of innocent citizens and armed forces by terrorist who have damaged national installation of gas and Railways and urged Prime Minister to take necessary action against them in the wider national interest.

   These demands were raised in a large meeting held at Bakhtiar Labour Hall here on Thursday under the Aegis of Pakistan Workers Confederation Puniab Chapter.  Veteran trade union leader Khurshid Ahmed General Secretary of the Confederation declared that the Confederation would hold a moot next month.

Beaconhouse’s festival

LAHORE (PR): The Beaconhouse School System organised a ‘Learning Festival’ for its students, parents body and the larger community on Sunday, February 16, 2014.This event was simultaneously held in 39 branches of Beaconhouse in Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta, Sukkar and in three cities of the Southern Punjab.

The parents of young children were invited to participate in a wide range of interesting and interactive activities, to engage in and bond with their children. The lively music, parents and students singing together, puppet shows, colourful environment, food courts and a very large turnout of the  families, created a very festive look, which was enjoyed by all the participants.

Honda blood donation camp

Lahore (PR): Honda Atlas Cars, organized a blood donation camp at its plant in Lahore with the help and association of Fatimid Foundation. The drive was aimed at supporting Fatimid Foundation in its cause of meeting blood requirements of children suffering from diseases like Thalassaemia, Haemophilia and Leukaemia etc.

The donated blood would then be used to provide free of charge transfusions to poor and needy patients. As a socially responsible organization HACPL completely endorses such a great service to the community.

Imperial’s anniversary

LAHORE (PR):  Imperial University celebrated first anniversary of School of Architecture, Art& Design. Formally dressed Pakistani and International students, parents, guests, and faculty ucolored the spacious campus. School of Engineering and Technology, School of Computing and Information Sciences, and School of Business & Management Sciences of the University put up stalls highlighting research projects and latest laboratory equipment.
