The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) recently announced various jobs through Combine Competitive Examinations. The age limit fixed for applying candidates is 28 years. No general age relaxation of 10 years was given, however, those candidates who have a minimum of 4 years government job experience can get 7 years age relaxation. I believed that it is a historical decision by SPSC.

First, other reputable exams like CSS taken by Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) also have the same age limit. Second, by fixing the age limit of 28 years only fresh and young candidates can apply for the advertised post. Only unemployed candidates can apply as previously due to general relaxation the applying age was 40 years due to which thousands of candidates who already had government jobs also applied and were successful by using their political contacts especially on deputations. I hope SPSC will maintain its brave decision and no general age relaxation of 10 years will be given at any cost.
