In Indian-held Kashmir, the Srinagar-based Kashmir University Students Union (KUSU) Saturday vehemently condemned the alleged desecration of Holy Quran and subsequent ‘massacre’ of Muslims in Gool, Ramban by the Indian occupation Border Security Force personnel, said a report reaching here Saturday afternoon from across the line of control.

“The incident is a testimony to the deep seated hatred that Indian occupation harbours towards the Muslims of the Indian-held Jammu & Kashmir and their faith. The recent massacre in Ramban also brings to fore the countless massacres that India has carried out across the Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir since 1947, especially the massacre of three lakh Muslims in Jammu,” read the statement, according to the report.

KUSU while expressing condolences with the families said that the Muslims of Jammu division and whole of the Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been the integral part of freedom struggle and offered huge sacrifices. “Our future lies together, in the Jammu and Kashmir free from Indian occupation,” they said.

The statement added that the massacres by “Indian occupational forces are cordially backed up the puppet state administration, bureaucracy, police and the Indian media. The whole occupational setup is put to use in conducting massacres of Muslims of the Indian-held Jammu and Kashmir and concealing them.

”Urging Muslims of the world to stand up and take notice of the oppression and tyranny the Muslims of Indian-held J&K are being subjected to by India, they said that “faith and lives of Muslims of the IHJ&K have never been secure under Indian occupation and the insecurity is only increasing every day.

“The desecration of copies of Holy Quran has been a regular feature of the occupying forces in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and other Muslim lands and now the IHK is yet another example of it”, the statement  declared adding ”KUSU appeals the Muslim countries to shun their India-appeasing policies.
