LAHORE : LCCI has sought proposals from all the city markets for an improvement in traffic plying on roads. The decision to seek suggestions from the business community was taken by the LCCI President Farooq Iftikhar on the recommendation of the Convener LCCI Standing Committee on Traffic Police Liaison Kashif Anwar. He said that Lahore attaining the status of the Shopping Mall of Pakistan, therefore, the private sector should play its role for a smooth and hassle-free traffic movement as well.

The LCCI President said that the business community believes that Punjab government had already spent sufficient amount of funds on the development of infrastructure to bring it at par with other international cities.

The Convener LCCI Standing Committee on Traffic Police Liaison Kashif Anwar said that the committee was working on modern lines and gathering all necessary data about areas prone to traffic jams.
