Prime Minister's Advisor for Foreign Affairs and National Security‚ Sartaj Aziz who is in Kabul on a day long official visit to Afghanistan‚ has held talks with Afghan Foreign Miniser Dr. Zalmay Rasul.

They discussed bilateral relations and also exchanged views on establishment of peace in Afghanistan.

During his stay there he will hold talks with Afghan leadership on pending trade agreement and trans-regional energy projects.

Foreign Office Spokesman Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry said Pakistan supports peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan.

He said Pakistan favours intra Afghan dialogue which is imperative for lasting peace in that country. He said peace in Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan and the region.
