PML-Q top leaders including party chief, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Punjab President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Monday visited Shaukat Khanum Hospital and inquired after the health of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Chaudhrys of Gujrat during their meeting asked Imran Khan to play lead role of the Opposition in the Parliament.

The meeting, which continued for about half an hour, the two Chaudhrys assured Imran Khan of their support in the Parliament, besides Punjab Assembly to back the PTI for playing the role of effective Opposition.

They said that Imran Khan was among the few upright leaders of this country who was making efforts to challenge the forces of status quo in the country.  The PML-Q leaders said that Imran was not only serving the people through politics but he had also undertaken many projects of social services, especially the Shaukat Khanum Hospital providing medical care to the patients of cancer.

Meanwhile, PTI activists held a protest demonstration at Liberty Chowk against the killing of Sindh chapter party leader, Zehra Shahid. 

The PTI will hold protest demonstrations in front of all the Press clubs of regional headquarters of Punjab against the attitude of the Election Commission regarding PTI demands against the alleged poll rigging.
