KARACHI -

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf held a protest demonstration against the killing of their party leader outside Mazar-e-Quaid on Monday evening.

A larger number of workers and supporters gathered and urged the British government to take action against MQM chief Altaf Hussain as his provoking speeches has resulted in the murder of Zahra Shahid Hussain, the PTI’s Sindh vice-president.

The participants of the protest chanted slogans against the MQM. They demanded that perpetrators of her murder should be brought to justice.

PTI leaders Nadir Leghari, Dr Arif Alvi and Dawa Khan addressed the participants. They said that they would not allow anyone to hijack the city by force. They demanded arrest of the culprits involved in the murder of PTI women leaders on immediate basis and party will continue its protest.

They also said the party leaders and workers were not afraid of the threats and they would continue their struggle. Karachiites have put the foundation for Naya Pakistan and the results of NA-250 shows that the people want change and would not allow anyone to sabotage their rights to vote. They demanded the ECP that it should conduct reelection in all the constituencies of Karachi under the army supervision.

The protesters dispersed peacefully after 2 hours of the protest.
