Federal Minister for Interior, Malik Mohammad Habib Khan, on Monday chaired a high-level meeting at Ministry of Interior to review security plan made for the upcoming visit of Chinese Prime Minister from May 22.

Federal Secretary Interior, Additional Secretary Interior, Director General (DG) National Crisis Management Cell (NCMC), Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad and representatives of Rangers, FC and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) attended the meeting.

The minister directed to ensure foolproof security arrangements for the upcoming visit of high-powered Chinese delegation to Pakistan.

Police as well as special branch should be vigilant and security level should be further increased in and around the capital, he advised.

He further directed that aerial security surveillance should be carried out in coordination with police. He also said that specific traffic plan including alternate arrangements should be made to facilitate the general public so that public could not face any inconvenience.
