At least 15 persons including three women and three minors were killed and four others injured separate incidents of honour killing, enmity and mishaps over the past 24 hours.

According to detail, three youths were drowned while taking bath in canal in two separate incidents here the other day.

According to detail, Muhammad Rasool was taking bath in a canal in village Bhambha, situated in the remit of Raja Jang, to beat the heat. In the meantime he went into deep water and drowned. The rescue team recovered his dead body and handed over to the family. In another incident occurred in Kot Bismillah Kanganpur, two youths identified as 16-year-old Adeel Masih, son of Shahid Masih, a Veterinary Doctor and 18-year-old Suleman Masih, resident of Lahore went to Kanganpur Canal to take bath where they drowned. The Rescue team recovered the dead bodies.

Similarly a man shot dead his niece over a minor dispute here in Chak 18 in the limits of Chhanga Manga Police. As per detail, 23-year-old Misbah was alone in her house when her uncle Ghulam Hussain shot her dead over a minor domestic dispute and fled from the scene. The police have registered a case.

In another incident a man was electrocuted while attempting to pilfer electricity here in village Saroiy in the Mustafabad Police precincts. Police said that Muhammad Asif was trying to tamper with the electricity meter to pilfer power during which he touched a live wire and sustained severe shocks, killing him instantly. The Mustafabad Police are investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, a man was poisoned to death by his in-laws Chak 18 in the limits of Chhanga Manga Police. According to the police, Munir Ahmad, a resident of village Bheela Gulab Singh Depalpur, district Okara, came to take her wife Shamim Bibi who was living in her parent's house. However, despite his insistence she refused. Later, Shamim, her father Muhammad Boota, Ishran Bibi and Shamsher mixed poisonous pills in a glass of milk. As soon as Munir took the milk he fell unconscious and died. The Chhanga Manga Police have registered a case and sent the dead body to DHQ Hospital Kasur for autopsy.

In BAHAWALPUR, a person was crushed to death when a speeding car hit a bicycle near Yazman, some 30-km from here on Monday.

According to police sources, Shamsul Haq was going on a bicycle when a speeding car hit him from the rear. As a result, he fell down and sustained serious head injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he breathed his last.

In JHANG, robbers killed a man and injured another while a dacoit was also arrested on Monday.

According to police, four armed persons entered the house of Muhammad Nawaz in ward no 7 and started collecting valuables. In the meantime Muhammad Ramazan, a 17-year-old nephew of Nawaz, put up resistance to which the dacoits opened fire on them. As a result, Muhammad Nawaz was injured while Ramazan died on the spot. The dacoits tried to flee but locals overpowered one of them. Nawaz was shifted to the DHQ hospital.

Meanwhile, a minor boy was killed in a road accident when a speeding car hit him in Jhang Bazaar Police precinct in Faisalabad.

According to police, Five-year-old Hamid son of Ghulam Ali was playing outside his house in Judgewala when a rashly driven car hit him.

Resultantly, he received serious injuries and died on the way to a hospital.

In SARGODHA, two persons were killed while two others injured in separate road accidents on Monday. Police said Muhammad Yousaf, a resident of Shamsabad was riding a motorbike when a speeding truck hit him near Chak 113/NB. As a result, he died on the spot.

In another incident, a speeding car hit a cyclist identified as 60-year-old Allah Ditta near Mitha Luk. He died on the way to hospital.

In HAVELI LAKHA, one Shakeel Ahmad killed his mother Parveen Akhter along with her alleged paramour for honour. Reportedly, Shakeel Ahmad, a resident of village 1/SP Wasa-we Wala killed his mother and a relative after observing them in objectionable condition. The police have registered a case.

In HAFIZABAD, a 21-year-old girl in Kot Nanak village committed suicide by shooting herself with a pistol following a quarrel with his younger sister over a trifle.

According to police source, deceased Shahida Perveen, daughter of Muhammad Aslam exchanged harsh words with her younger sister Misbah over baking breads following which Shahida in a fit of rage allegedly shot herself in the temple. Resultantly she died on the spot. The Kassoke Police have removed the dead body to the city morgue for autopsy and are investigating as to whether the deceased has been murder or has committed suicide.

Meanwhile, in SHEIKHUPURA, a state agency owner was shot dead while his son sustained critical injuries here in Kot Abdul Maalik locality over a monetary dispute on Monday. According to details, deceased Ashfaq quarrelled with his business partners.

 After exchanging of hot words Manzoor and Altaf opened fire, killing state agency owner Ashfaq instantly while his son Yasin sustained gunshot wounds. The Factory Area Police are looking into the matter.
