QUETTA - A military aircraft crashed in Ziarat district on Saturday leaving two pilots injured, said a security official.

The security official was quoted as saying by a private news channel that the two pilots injured during the crash were rushed to Ziarat for medical treatment by locals of the area. Pilots Captain Omar and Captain Hasnain Mehmood were later shifted to Quetta in an army helicopter for further treatment.  He added that the aircraft was on training when it suddenly crashed in Ziarat. “The aircraft crashed as a result of a technical problem,” he added.  Levies and police personnel reached the site where the plane had crashed and started investigation into the incident.

The security official stated that the injured were being provided medical treatment in the Combined Military Hospital Quetta.
