Islamabad - Muhammad Ayub Sheikh has assumed the charge of Secretary Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination. The Ministry had no Secretary for the last two months as Mrs. Rashida Malik who took charge after retirement of Imtiaz Inayat Elahi fell ill and was on medical leave for two months. It may be noted that the Ministry’s DG Dr. Jehanzeb Aurakazi is also unwell and on medical leave.

As vacation of key position had slowed down the pace of work, the government has appointed a permanent Secretary who has assumed charge, ministry officials said.

He belongs to rural Sindh and also served as Secretary to Chief Minister Sindh.
