Rawalpindi - Police have failed to control surging incidents of street crimes in the city as two unknown dacoits robbed two girls of gold, cash and mobile phones in the limits of Police Station (PS) City.

Similarly, the armed gangs of robbers, intruders, dacoits and auto theft gangs deprived citizens of gold, cash, mobile phones, laptops and other valuables, sources informed here on Saturday.

According to sources, a girl namely Saeeda was going to Bazaar along with her sister when two armed dacoits riding a motorcycle intercepted her on gunpoint with in the limits of PS City.

The dacoits snatched 13 gold bangles, 2 bracelets, mobile phones and cash from the girls and fled the scene. Police have filed a case and have started investigation.

Two motorcycle riding dacoits snatched mobile phone and cash from Tehseen Ullah Khan on gunpoint within the limits of PS Westridge.

Similarly, a gang of four robbers stormed into a chemist in Satellite Town of PS New Town and pointed pistols on the staffers. The robbers collected Rs 1, 50, 000 and ran away.

Pocket pickers deprived a citizen namely Asad Nazir of Rs 6,00,000 and Muhammad Suhail of purse within the limits of PS Airport. Robbers also committed robbery in the house of one Usman Ghani in the precinct of PS Wah Cannta and plundered 3 laptops, 3 watches, mobile phones and other valuables.

On the other hand, auto theft gangs lifted two cars and two motorcycles from the precincts of police stations Banni, Airport, Cannt and Civil Line.
