Rawalpindi - The government has released Rs.30.5 million for the construction of a state-of-the-art cricket stadium in Government Postgraduate Viqar-un-Nisa College for Women.

 This was informed by PML-N former MNA and Metro Bus Service (MBS) Project Implementation Committee Chairman Muhammad Hanif Abbasi while talking to The Nation here on Saturday.

 Hanif Abbasi said that the government has released funds of Rs 30.5 million for the construction of cricket stadium in VNC. He said that the work on pavilion and other buildings has been geared up.

He said that floodlights would be installed in the stadium while the mud was brought from Nandi Pur to make the pitch. He said that the principal of Government Postgraduate Viqar-un-Nisa College for Women Dr Saira Mufti cooperated with the government at her level best in this regard.
