LAHORE - Like other parts of the globe, World Alzheimer’s Day will be observed across the country on Sunday to raise awareness about dementia and challenge stigma.

Since 1994, September is observed as Alzheimer’s Month globally under different themes. The theme for September 2014 is “Dementia: Can we reduce the risk?” focusing on ways we may be able to help reduce our risk of developing dementia with brain healthy lifestyles.

The Alzheimer’s organization around the globe keeps their focus on the day by creating awareness about this progressive and irreversible disease which has millions of victim in every part of the world with at least two people getting the disease every three minutes.
