TOBA TEK SINGH - A Faisalabad Anti-Terrorism Court sentenced on Monday to death Yousaf Shamoon and handed down life terms to Yousaf Masih, Waris Masih and Afzal Masih in a kidnapping-cum-murder case.

According to prosecution, Shahzad Masih, a resident of Chak 284/GB was kidnapped on the way back from school on February 15.

Later, his father Bashir Masih received a call on his cellphone from the kidnappers who demanded Rs500,000 ransom for the release of his son, threatening him to kill his son he failed to pay ransom. However, poor Bashir failed to pay the ransom at which the accused killed the boy and threw his beheaded dead body in Chak 322/GB in the Chuttiana Police precincts.

The Anti-Terrorism court on completion of trial sentenced Yousaf Shamoon to death and fined him Rs100,000. Whereas the three co-accused were handed down life term with Rs100,000 each fine.
