DASKA/SARGODHA/MULTAN-Seven persons including two kids and two women were killed while a man shot at and injured by her wife along with accomplices in different incidents here on Monday.

According to details, in Daska two minor cousins namely Emaan Fatima and Sikandar Iftikhar died due to suffocation in a wheat silo while playing hide and seek kept at the upper portion of their house here congested Muhammadpura locality on Monday. Reportedly, both of the cousins two and half-year-old Emaan Fatima and five-year-old Sikandar, were playing hide and seek when they went upstairs. They got into a wheat silo but suddenly its cap shut down due to which both the children died of suffocation.

Later, upon search, the family found the minor children died in the silo. In another incident elderly widow 75-year-old Iqbal Bibi and her 35-year-old Zulfiqar son were mysteriously strangulated to death by some unidentified accused in their home in village Beerh-Motra here.

Both the woman and her son were asleep in the courtyard of their house when unidentified accused strangulated them to death. The neighbours found them dead and informed the police. The Motra Police shifted the dead bodies to Daska Civil Hospital for autopsy. The Motra Police have registered a case.

Meanwhile, a man namely Rab Nawaz strangulated to death his wife Sameena over a domestic dispute three months after their marriage her in Muzafarpur-Uggoki. The Uggoki Police have shifted the dead body to Govt Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot for autopsy. The Uggoki Police have registered a case.

Similarly in Sargodha, unidentified armed assailants gunned down the gunman of the Punjab Additional Inspector General of Police the other night. According to details, Additional IGP Mehr Khaliq Dad Lak's gunman Mohammad Mumtaz had come to his village Sakaiser Bar on leave. Meanwhile, five unidentified accused stormed into his house and opened indiscriminate firing, killing on the spot. The police have started investigation however the reason of murder could not be ascertained.

In another incident, bandits killed a complainant in the presence of police. As per details, Muzamil Doger, a resident of congested Rehmanpura locality complained to the Urban Area Police about the theft of his cattle. The police arrested an accused who confessed to the crime and told that he had sold cattle in Bhawalpur. So police party with accused and complainant set off for Bhawalpur to recover the stolen cattle. But on the way unidentified armed assailants opened fire on the vehicle. Resultantly Muzamil Doger died while the policemen remained unhurt miraculously.

In Multan, a man was shot by his wife and her relatives as he declined to divorce her here in Gulshan Market area on Monday, police said. The injured namely Sarfaraz was rushed to Nishtar Hospital where his condition is stated to be precarious while the woman Farzana and her accomplices managed to escape. The residents of the area told police that the accused attacked the house of Sarfaraz and thrashed him before shooting. New Multan police registered a case against the accused and raids were being conducted to arrest the assailants.
