PESHAWAR - Welcoming the accountability process the Army Chief started in his own institution, ANP Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan on Thursday asked other State institutions to begin the same self-accountability.

Follow Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif who sacked senior military officials on corruption charges, he said.

The Army Chief, he said began accountability at home, hence, others State institutions must do the same. The COAS set a good tradition and it must be followed, the ANP President Asfandyar Khan said in a statement issued on Thursday. The time has come to eliminate corruption, he said.

Like militancy, corruption is too a menace, he said ,adding, that this new trend set by the Army Chief would make ways to eliminate corruption for once and all. Moreover, this action would earn a good name for the country abroad, he added. He said that the process of accountability must continue and each one should be made accountable.

He said that the Army has taken a big step and its time and we welcome this step.
