LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that no one will be allowed to create hurdles in the process of peace and development initiated by the PML-N government.

The chief minister said this while talking to party legislators who called on him yesterday.

“The country cannot afford negative or protest politics at any cost. Some political elements are trying to stop the journey to progress and prosperity for their vested interests but 18 crore conscientious people of Pakistan will not allow anyone to create hurdles in this process of peace and development,” the CM added. The chief minister said selfless service to the people and completion of public welfare projects with transparency and quality is the hallmark of the PML-N government.

He said the country dipped deep in the quagmire of problems but the government took serious and solid steps to bring it out with positive results. He said that work is being carried out speedily on the projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor in the country.

Shehbaz Sharif said that thousands of megawatt electricity will be added into national grid through completion of energy projects by the end of 2017. Darkness of load shedding will be removed forever within next few years, he added.

The chief minister said that the journey to public service would be continued more vigorously. He stressed upon elected representatives to keep a close contact with the people for solution of their problems.

NOTICE: Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident of death of five persons due to eating poisonous sweets in Karor Laal Eason, Layyah and sought a report from the administration.

He ordered investigation into the incident. The Chief Minister expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the incident. He also expressed sympathies and condolences with the bereaved families.

The chief minister ordered the administration to provide best treatment facilities to the injured.
