LAHORE - Christians United Alliance chairman Bishop Wilson John Gill along with 30 other leaders yesterday joined PTI after meeting with party’s Punjab organiser Chaudhry Sarwar.

Besides Bishop Wilson, the other leader included CUA vice-chairman Pastor Raheel Gill, Green Society organiser Pastor Haroon Imran Gill, social worker Robin Sadiq and Dr Sonia Haroon.

Addressing on the occasion, Chaudhry Sarwar welcomed the Christian leaders for coming into the fold of the PTI and said party’s principled and people-oriented politics was attracting people from all segments of the society.

He said the PTI had always raised voice for the rights of all Pakistanis belonging to any religion and asserted that Pakistan could only be strengthened with the help of every individual in the country.

Chaudhry Sarwar regretted that minorities had not been given their due rights due to the incapability of the rulers. He said the rulers had also failed in protecting the lives and property of general public, therefore, they had no reason to continue their rule in the country.

He said the nation was facing worst-ever power and gas load-shedding. He said the people’s problems could never be solved during the presence of incumbent rulers rather the problems would continue multiplying.

He stressed that the masses should support the PTI and it would drive them out of the crisis and put them on the path of progress and prosperity.
