Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) is moving towards progress and getting profit from its own cargo ships.

Chairman Pakistan National Shipping Corporation stated this in a meeting of the Standing Committee on Ports and Shipping held here on Monday.

The meeting was held in the Committee Room of the Parliament House, under the chairmanship of Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah. The agenda of the meeting was the development plans of PNSC. Apprising the Committee about the recent achievements of PNSC, the Chairman said PNSC has made Rs. 800 million profits on its two cargo ships. He told that PNSC has also given approval of buying more cargo ships to increase the size of its fleet.

The Committee also decided to bring change in the shipping laws and get them at par with the developed world.

The Committee recommended that Government of Pakistan should give all cargo business to PNSC as it is the flag bearer cargo service of the country. MNAs, Haji M.Akram Ansari, Chodhary Hamid Hameed, Rana M.Hayat Khan, Ch.Salman Hanif Khan, Mehar Ishtiaq Ahmad, Ms. Seema Mohiuddin Jameeli, Ms.Shaheen Shafiq, Ms.Romina Khurshid Alam, Khalil George, Lal Chand Malhi, M.Salman Khan Baloch, Kanwar Naveed Jameel, Secretary and other senior officers also attended the meeting.
