LAHORE : Former Australian Test cricketer Dean Jones Monday said the PSL would help Pakistan team prepare for the upcoming World Twenty20 to be played in India. Dean Jones said: “The PSL will benefit Pakistan cricket in many ways besides exposing the young home players to much-needed high-profile experience helping them to prepare for the next years’ T20 World Cup.” Jones said Pakistani immigration authorities sent him back to Duabi due to incomplete travel documents and he was not deported. "With the help of Pakistan mission in Dubai, I completed my documents and travelled back to Pakistan after Pakistani immigration authorities showing responsibility indentified my incomplete travel documents at Islamabad airport and informed me quickly about it.” He said it was a wrong impression that he was deported from Pakistan and he was just sent back to Dubai to get his documents completed. He praised the holding of the league and termed it very beneficial for Pakistan cricket.

"There is a lot of interest in Australian players to be a part of the league and I am sure next year more Australian players will join the fold of PSL.”

Jones praised the cricketing skills and talent of Pakistan captain Mishabul haq and described him a ‘champion player’ who has the potential to elevate the morale of a team to its maximum level.
