LAHORE - Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Rafique Tarar observed that Pakistan will go on gaining more and more strength and stability and the national anthem composed by Hafeez Jalandhri will go on echoing creating an ambience of peace, prosperity, progress, fraternity and unity.

Delivering his presidential address on the 33rd death anniversary of the creator of the national anthem Hafeez Jalandhri at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan, he emphasized the need for bringing about desirable changes in the education system.

The event was jointly organised by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and the National Anthem Foundation.

The attendees included Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Vice Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad, Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chief coordinator Mian Farooq Altaf, Prof Dr Aziz Ahmad Hashmi, Ch. Muhammad Shafique, Prof Dr Kh Muhammad Zakaria, Syed Mansur Aqil, Raja Muhammad Amin, Ch Muhammad Ashraf, Prof Abdullah Faisal, Maj-Gen (r) Dr Waqar Ahmad Khan, Prof Dr Munawwar Hashmi, Syed Muhammad Awais, Zafar Ali, Mushtaq Pirzada, Faisal Qureshi, Syed Muhammad Waqas, Mazhar, Mian Khuda Bukhsh and Arshad Hashmi.

Tarar observed that even today Hazrat Umar (RA) is lauded in the European nations for his grand services in the domain of social welfare. We must acquaint our forth-coming generations with the humanitarian teachings of Islam, he said.

Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad observed that the ideological national anthem composed by Hafeez Jalandhri is making the new generation conscious of the ideological “personality” of Pakistan, acquainting them with the real aims and objectives of the creation of Pakistan, we are striving to create a sense of pride and self-respect in the youth of the nation, he said.

Prof Dr Aziz Ahmad Hashmi said that the Fall of Dhaka, the tragedy of Peshawar and the demise of the Abul Asar Hafeez Jalandhri all took place in the month of December. The late Dr Majeed Nizami advised me not to make fun of anybody and always to speak the truth, he said.

Prof Dr Kh Zakaria observed that, by following the message contained in our national anthem, we can do away with all the problems confronting us.

The other speakers also extolled the merits of the national anthem of Pakistan. The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Chairman presented a souvenir shield to the National Anthem Foundation Chairman Dr Aziz Ahmad Hashmi during the programme.

The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and the NAF office bearers paid a visit to the shrine of the deceased and laid a wreath of flowers.
