TOBA TEK SINGH -The City Police recovered Punjab Textbook Board books from a scrap shop situated on Rajana Road and started investigation into the incident here the other night. The police also arrested shop owner Malik Muhammad Ali who told the police that books had been sold to him by a private school.

Meanwhile, the school Principal Amin Mehr claimed that books stock was five year old and no case could be registered as it was privately purchased by the school from the Punjab Textbook Board.  On the other hand, EDO Mansha Mayo said that the District Education Department stock was checked and found correct so books were not issued to the school by the department.

DEAD CHICKEN SELLER ARRESTED: The City Police arrested a chicken meat seller from Sahulat Bazaar while selling meat of dead chicken birds. Slaughterhouse Superintendent Veterinary Dr Nazir Arif informed the police that he recovered several dead birds from the shop. The police have registered a case against the accused.
