LAHORE - Lahore College for Women University Vice Chancellor Dr Sabiha Mansoor has announced that one member of LCWUs Syndicate will be adopted from Lahore College Associates (LCA). Addressing in a reception for LCA here on Thursday; the organisation of old students of Lahore College for Women University, Dr Sabiha Mansoor said that the management of LCWU is proud of its alumni and always will seek guideline from its members to run the University. She appreciated former Vice Chancellor and President of LCA Dr Bushra Mateen for her contribution in uplifting Lahore College as a prestigious University. Reception was attended by Registrar Dr Hamala S Khalid, Secretary General LCA Mrs Shahida Sultan, Deans and members of LCAs Executive Council. President LCA Dr Bushra Mateen in her address thanked Vice Chancellor for the reception and appreciative gesture. She briefed that LCA was set up in 1960 and is registered as an NGO in the Social Welfare Department. LCA have been working on empowering women and has conducted numerous short courses regarding education, languages and art. Dr Bushra Mateen added that the course about ceramics, started by LCA, was adopted as a regular discipline by Department of Fine Arts at LCWU.
