LAHORE - PPPs Punjab President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich on Tuesday said that Benazir Bhutto had signed the Charter of Democracy with those who instituted baseless cases against her. Addressing a cake-cutting ceremony held in connection with Benazir Bhuttos 58th birth anniversary at partys Faisal Town Secretariat here, Warraich said her leader did politics of federation instead of focusing on provinces. Safdar said BB gave a new direction to Pakistani politics by declaring democracy as the best revenge. He said she was not revengeful leader and even singed CoD with those who had instituted groundless cases against her and her spouse. Earlier, some PSF activists created rowdy scene at the ceremony by preventing party leadership from cutting the cake. Dozens of student leaders raised slogans for acceptance of their demands. Later, they ended their protest. Meanwhile, a blood donation camp was organised by Pakistan Peoples Party in connection with the 58th birth anniversary of Mohtarma Benazir. Several PPP leaders, workers and Members of the Punjab Assembly including Raja Riaz Ahmad, Opposition Leader, Shaukat Basra, PPP Parliamentary leader, Faiza Malik, MPA and PPP Women Wing Lahore President and Azma Bokhari donated blood in the camp at Faisal Chowk.
