LAHORE - The Punjab government has set up a high-level commission to fix responsibility for the loss of lives during recent strikes of the young doctors across the province in public hospitals, said a report submitted before the Lahore High Court on Tuesday. Upon this, LHC Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry disposed of the petition filed earlier by one Manzoor Qadir to seek action against doctors for observing strikes and causing vital loss to the poor patients. The CJ, however, ordered the law officer of Punjab government to submit inquiry report of the commission within next 15 days. During hearing, the law officer said a high-level commission headed by Justice (r) Saeed-ur-Rehman Furrakh had been constituted which would determine who were responsible for the losses and also recommend punishments.
