LAHORE - Following the complaints of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), cases have been registered against three private housing schemes with police concerned for violating building laws.

On the application of LDA Metropolitan Planning Wing, a case was registered with the Raiwind police against Lake View Housing Scheme (Bella Vista) near Halloki on Raiwind Road.

The housing scheme management is accused of selling plots without the LDA’s approval. Another case was registered with the Chuhang police against River Edge Housing Scheme, Multan Road, whose administration is facing charges of building two new blocks illegally.

The third case was registered with the Nishter Colony police against Pak Arab Housing Scheme on Ferozepur Road for constructing a road in the land reserved for graveyard and providing a passageway to an adjacent housing scheme that had not been approved by the authority concerned.

PARKING LICENSE AUCTIONED: The license for collection of parking fee from vehicles and motorcycles at D-Point Car Parking Plaza at Shah Alam Market has been auctioned against a sum of Rs22 million and it will be valid for two years.

Open auction of the license was held on Thursday at LDA Community Centre in New Muslim Town. LDA Vice Chairman Aamir Asghar Dar supervised the auction that was conducted by the Auction Committee.
