PARACHINAR Security forces have killed at least 32 militants in Orakzai, Kurram Agencies and Hangu. According to details, at least 16 militants including a militant commander have reportedly been killed as the gunship helicopters pounded their suspected hideouts in Kurram Agency here on Sunday. On information that the militants, who fled Orakzai and South Waziristan agencies had arrived Sozai, Marghano Kandao and other adjacent areas in Kurram Agency, the forces while using gunship helicopters pounded their suspected hideouts. In the action, and as many as 16 militants including a militant commander hailing from South Waziristan were killed. Sources said that majority of killed militants belonged to Orakzai and South Waziristan agencies. It may be recalled here that due to the activities of the militants, ratio of the kidnapping and killing had increased in the area. Our Monitoring Desk adds: At least 12 militants were killed during bombardment by gunship helicopters and jets in Orakzai Agency. The gunships had targeted the terrorist hideouts in Tourkareen, Talay and Sarkikhel areas of Orakzai Agency killing at least seven terrorists. The terrorist hideouts in lower Orakzai Agency had also been targeted where five terrorists were killed. According to the sources, about eight terrorist hideouts have been destroyed. The local tribal lashkar set on fire the seven houses on the terrorists in Orakzai Agency. In the third incident, the security forces killed four terrorists in Mela Mashtey and Ferozkhel areas of Hangu. Online adds: Militants blew up a boys school in Charsadda and a basic health centre in Mohmand Agency on Sunday. A Charsadda police official Siffat Khan confirmed the reports of destruction of the school in Subhan Khur near Shab Qadr and said militants had planted explosives in the school, which destroyed the boundary wall completely while the classrooms were also damaged. The officials say the school is a bone of contention between the administrations of Mohmand Agency and Charsadda, as the building is located in Mohmand Agencys controversial Pachees village.
