ISLAMABAD - Acting Inspector General of Islamabad Police (IGP) Bin Ameen on Sunday directed the city police to make foolproof security arrangements on the occasion of Pakistan Day (March 23). A spokesman for Islamabad police said that while presiding over a meeting, acting IGP reviewed security arrangements and directed all SPs, DSPs and SHOs to keep close contact with security and vigilance committees. The Acting IGP also directed all wings of police including CID, CIA, Traffic etc to coordinate with each other and share information regarding the security issues. He also appealed to citizens to cooperate with police, keep vigilant eye in their surroundings and inform police if they find any unclaimed and suspected luggage. He said that keeping in view the current security situation, the patrolling of Eagle Squad and Falcon Squad would be intensified on the Pakistan Day besides normal police patrolling.
