LAHORE- Additional District and Sessions Judge on Monday issued notice to CCPO Lahore and SHO Kot Lakhpat Police in a petition seeking registration of an FIR against the jail authorities keeping victims counsel in forcible detention in the jail during the trial proceedings of the Raymond Davis case. The petition was filed by Advocate Asad Manoor Butt in which the judge directed CCPO Lahore and SHO concerned to submit their reply before the court till March 24, 2011. Counsel for the victims Asad informed the court that the Kot Lakhpat Jail Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent kept him and his colleague Nouman in detention in jail for four hours. The petitioner informed the court that they both were forcibly taken to a separate room when they visited the jail to plead the case of deceased Faizan and Fahim. He said that jail authorities did not allow them to attend proceedings of the case, after which the double murder accused Raymond Davis was released.
