MIRPUR (AJK) - The 23rd death anniversary of eminent Kashmiri freedom movement activist and former AJK president Syed Ali Ahmed Shah was being observed across Azad Jammu Kashmir on Thursday.

The anniversary was observed with the renewal of the pledge to continue the mission of the late leader to bring the Kashmir freedom movement to its logical end. The main ceremony to mark the occasion was held at Kashmir Press Club under the auspices of Syed Ali Ahmed Shah Memorial Society.

On the occasion, Quran Khawani was held for the departed soul besides the scheduled function to pay rich tributes to great Kashmiri leader.

Former AJK president Raja Zulqarnain Khan was the chief guest of the ceremony which was chaired by Chairman Ali Ahmed Shah Memorial Society Syed Nishat Hussain Kazmi.

Besides, former FPCCI president Ch Muhammad Saeed, AJK Supreme Court Bar Association President Raja Fazal Hussain Rabbani, DBA President Sardar Ejaz Nazir, Secretary Syed Ali Ahmed Memorial Soceity Qaiser Shiraz Kazmi and others were amongst the key speakers who paid glorious tributes to the former AJK president for his meritorious services for the Kashmir cause and for the development of AJK.
