LAHORE (PR) - Are you snoring? Beware: it is one of the key signs of a common sleep disorder – Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) that may lead to serious diseases, including heart disease or diabetes. With an aim to increase awareness of OSA and help sufferers identify and treat the disorder, Philips Pakistan, in collaboration with PSRF, celebrated the World Sleep Day at Services Hospital, Lahore.

Philips Pakistan’s announcement on the first sleep training session in North Pakistan comes at the heels of the news that Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) will screen one million people worldwide for OSA over the next five years – out of which, 150,000 will be from Asia Pacific (excluding China). This year’s theme – “Good Sleep, Healthy Aging” – aligns with Philips’ commitment to serve as an ally in better sleep and breathing for different age groups.

The sleep training session is a part of an extended partnership between Philips Respironics and PSRF that also includes the creation of a state-of-the-art Sleep Lab in Services Hospital, Lahore to diagnose sleep disorders.
