ISLAMABAD - Former federal minister J Salik has demanded the secret balloting for reserved seats of women and minorities. Talking to this news agency, Salik said under Article 226 of the constitution, the secret balloting may be conducted for reserved seats for women in National and Provincial assemblies. To a question, he said 10 reserved seats in the NA and 23 in the provincial assemblies for non-Muslims should be filled by secret balloting.

Salik requested to all political parties to play their role for the rights of minorities and their representatives should be selected through ballot.
