LAHORE – British educationist Michael Barber praised Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for bringing educational reforms to Punjab. “Punjab’s progress in the field of education is laudable,” he tweeted.  According to a handout, the educationist said two years ago, Indian and Pakistani Punjab were at par in education sector but now the Pakistani Punjab had gone ahead. He termed recruitment of more than eighty thousand teachers on merit in Punjab as good omen for educational development. Michael Barber said that Punjab has achieved success on the pattern of Madhia Paradesh and Brazil and the reforms introduced in the education sector are a pride not only for Punjab but the whole country.
