Pakistani and Indian artists have been playing a pivotal role in bringing people of both countries together. One such attempt in magnifying people-to-people contact is Shaan-e Pakistan whose first day was attended by a large number of people from across border. Lahore, being the hub of cultural activities is playing host to this magnificent event of art and culture.

The first day kicked off with a musical night comprising Indian and Pakistani artists who mesmerized the audience with their performances. The artists including Sounds of Kolachi, Coke studio sensations Mai Dhai and Asrar, Indian band Shivam and one of Bollywood’s most accomplished singers, Rekha Bhardwaj (Kabira, Namak, Tere Ishq Mein) kept the audience engaged and made them tap their feet to their melodies.

EkShaamDosti Kay Naam is to befollowed by a full day fashion and lifestyle exhibition and eventually will conclude with a fashion show on the third day showcasing a mix of designers from both countries. The event was attended by famous celebrities and the fashion forward people of the city. The musical night was hosted by VJ Andy from India and Anoushey Ashraf from Pakistan and featuredmusical performances by artists RekhaBhardvaj and Shivam band from India and Asrar, Mai Dhaiand Sounds of Kolachi from Pakistan.

The evening was attended by legendary Bollywood actress ZeenatAman, Pakistani music sensations AtifAslam, Ali Sethi, FarihaPervaiz, HadiqaKiani, NaumanJaved, Mustafa Zahid, Shiraz Uppal, Amanat Ali, NabeelShaukat Ali,Junaid Khan and producer Saad Sultan.Indeed Shaan-e-Pakistan’sIndian culinarychef Mujeeb-ur-Rehman,celebrated singer RekhaBhardvaj (Kabira,Namak, TereIshq Mein) andlegendary Bollywood actress ZeenatAmanwill be representing the Indian delegates at all three days of the event.

Talking to The Nation Huma Nassr- the power house behind Shaan-e-Pakistan said,
